About

This site exists because official HOA communications, board meetings, and meeting minutes rarely tell the whole story.

Here, HOA governance actions are documented and analyzed using official HOA records, recorded meetings, and firsthand accounts from homeowners.

Homeowners can discuss HOA matters in greater depth, track board actions, and raise concerns or questions that deserve careful attention.

The site is independently operated by homeowners and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official communication of Winchester Landing Homeowners Association, Inc. of Winchester, VA.

Who am I? I’m just a homeowner — someone who has lived in enough communities with dysfunctional boards to recognize the pattern when I see it again. This time, I decided to get involved instead of just complaining privately. I set out to be a board watchdog: someone who reads the documents, asks the questions the board would rather not answer, and writes down what’s actually happening.

The goal isn’t to attack anyone. It’s to put problems on the record so the board has an incentive to self-correct, knowing that residents are watching and that silence or spin won’t hold up once it’s out in the open.

If you’re new to the site, the 👉 Index of Posts is the best place to start. From there, you can explore topics that interest you and dig into specific issues.

The work here serves as a permanent public record for current and future homeowners. What happens doesn’t disappear. It gets documented.
